DESCRIPTION:

RoadChem™ 1000® is an anionic slow setting emulsifier for preparing highly stable asphalt emulsions. RoadChem™ 1000® is supplied as a powder that is easy to use and disperses well in water. For bulk purchases a liquid version may be purchased.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:

Appearance: Dry brown powder. Liquid version available in bulk.
Flash point: Not available
Specific gravity: 0.7 g/ml
Storage: Store in a well ventilated cool dry place. Keep dry.
Storage life: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly).
Packaging: Supplied in bags (22.7kg) or in 200Kg drums for liquid version.


APPLICATION:
RoadChem™ 1000® may be used in the production of slow setting asphalt emulsions.
RoadChem™ 1000® is a lignin derivative.


TYPICAL FORMULATION:
All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use.

RoadChem™ 1000® 1.6%
Sodium hydroxide 0.15%
Adjust pH to 9.0 -10.0
Water: 36.2%

Asphalt: 62%

RoadChem™ 1000® gives optimum cement mixing around a pH of 9.0. It must first be dissolved in warm water and pH adjusted using Sodium Hydroxide.
