DESCRIPTION:
RoadChem 1001® is an anionic slow setting emulsifier for preparing
highly stable high float asphalt emulsions.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance: Dark colored liquid.
Flash point: > 250C
Specific gravity: 0.85 g/ml
Storage: Store in a well ventilated cool dry place. Keep dry.
Storage life: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly).
Packaging: Supplied in steel 205 lt size drums, in 1 tonne totes, or in bulk.
APPLICATION:
RoadChem 1001® may be used in the production of slow setting asphalt
emulsions. In HFRS-1 or HFRS-2 or in HFMS-1 or HFMS-2
RoadChem 1001® is a tall oil derivative.
TYPICAL FORMULATION:
All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use.

RoadChem 1001® 1.6%
Sodium hydroxide 0.15%
Adjust pH to 9.0 -10.0
Water: TO 100%
Diesel (added to asphalt) 1-3%
Asphalt: 60%
HFMS-2
RoadChem 1001® 1.6%
Sodium hydroxide 0.15%
Adjust pH to 9.0 -10.0
Water: to 100%
Diesel (added to asphalt) 1-3%
Asphalt: 65%
HFRS-1
RoadChem 1001® 0.5%
Sodium Hydroxide 0.2%
Adjust pH to 11.5-12.5

Diesel( added to asphalt) 1-3%

Adjust to pH 11.0-12.0
Asphalt 65%

RoadChem 1001®
gives optimum cement mixing around a pH of 9.0. It must first be dissolved in
warm water and pH adjusted using Sodium Hydroxide.
