DESCRIPTION:
RoadChem™1060® is a lignin based slow set emulsifier for the production of anionic slow-setting asphalt emulsions for road and industrial purposes. RoadChem™ 1060® can be used for slurry seal, especially in hot dry climates, soil stabilization, base stabilization, seal coats, waterproofing emulsions and roofing applications. It may be used in fog seal emulsion and overspray systems for chip seals as well as tack and prime coats.

Super-Stable Emulsions: Emulsion produced with RoadChem™ 1060® show the stability needed for applications such as slurry seal, dense mixes, dust control, mulching and stabilization. Emulsions made with RoadChem™ 1060® may be mixed with cement in recycling and stabilization processes.

STORAGE: . Bulk stores should be maintained at 20-35 Deg. C (70-100 Deg F), do not expose to temperatures >60C for extended periods of time. Agitate or stir before use.

RoadChem™ 1060® may cause irritation to skin and eyes. Protective goggles and gloves must be worn when handling this product. For further information consult the Material Safety Data Sheet.

STORAGE LIFE: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly).

PACKAGING: RoadChem™ 1060® is available in bulk shipment or in 55-gallon tight head drums

APPLICATION:
RoadChem™ 1060® is an Anionic emulsifier for the production anionic slow-setting asphalt emulsions for all applications where SS-1 is indicated.. It may be used fro slurry seal systems for hot climates with all aggregate types.

TYPICAL FORMULATION: All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use. (all by weight on total emulsion)

pH soap 7-12
RoadChem™ 1060® 1.9-2.5%
Water: to 100%

Anioinic latex may be used for special applications

Slurry Seal:
Bitumen: 62-65%
pH Soap 11.5-12
RoadChem™ 1060® 0.8-1.0%
Water: to 100%

Anionic SBR or natural latex may be added to 3% in soap
