DESCRIPTION:
RoadChem™ 300® is a quick traffic cationic emulsifier that has been specifically designed for use in the manufacture of high performance slurry emulsions. RoadChem™ 300 enables the manufacture of high stability emulsions that are rapid curing and setting. In some instances RoadChem™ 300® may be used for slow setting slurry emulsions.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance: Light yellow liquid
Flash point: 370F(190C)
Pour Point: 12C
Specific gravity: 1.02 @ 78F (25C)
Viscosity: 2 500cps@78F(25C)
Storage: Store in a cool dry place, do not let the temperature exceed 120F (50C). Use open drums first.
Storage life: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly)
Packaging: Supplied in steel 205 lt size drums, in 1 tonne totes, or in bulk.

APPLICATION:
RoadChem™ 300® is an amidoamine fatty acid based emulsifier that contains multiple amino groups.
For best results RoadChem™ 300® should be added to warm water that has already been acidified. This will aid the solubility of the emulsifier in water.
Always allow at least 20 minutes before testing the pH of the solution, as the emulsifier has a buffering effect which delays the solution reaching the equilibrium pH.
Recommended pH range for use: 1.5-2.8

TYPICAL FORMULATION:
All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use. Soap solution:
RoadChem™ 300 1.4-2.5%
Hydrochloric acid: Adjust to pH 1. 5 - 2.8
Latex: 2.3-3.0%
Water: Adjust to 100%
Asphalt: 62-64%
