DESCRIPTION:
RoadChem™ 406® is a cationic rapid set emulsifier that contains special additives that make it useful for emulsifying difficult asphalts, including those that are parafinic, low penetration and high in asphaltenes.It will enhance viscosity of most systems by 15-50%. RoadChem™ may also be used for cold mixes, if formulated correctly.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance: Liquid (>10CC)
Flash point: > 339F (> 170C)
Specific gravity: 0.86@ 78F (25C)
Viscosity: 6-8 cSt @ 140F (60C)
Storage: Store in a cool dry place, do not let the temperature exceed 120F (50C). Use open drums first.
Storage life: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly).
Packaging: Supplied in steel 205 lt size drums, in 1 tonne totes, or in bulk.

APPLICATION:
RoadChem™ 406® is an emulsifier of the fatty diamine type. RoadChem™ 40®6 is designed for use in CRS-1, CRS-2 and high binder content emulsions. It may also be used for mixing grade emulsions.

All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use.

Calcium Chloride: 0.1%
Hydrochloric to pH: 1.8-2.8
Kerosene: 0-2%
Water: Adjust to 100%
Asphalt: 60-70%

Mixing Grade:
Soap Solution:
RoadChem™ 406®: 0.5-1.0%
Calcium Chloride: 0.1%
Hydrochloric to pH: 2.5-3.5
Kerosene: 3%-12%
Water: Adjust to 100%
Asphalt: 60-65%
