DESCRIPTION:
RoadChem™ 412® is a 100% active mixing grade and cationic rapid set emulsifier that is highly efficient in emulsifying a range of asphalts. RoadChem™ 412® is easy to make into a soap solution and makes emulsions of medium to low viscosity. It is particularly useful in controlling viscosity in high binder emulsions. It may also be used for cold mixes, if formulated correctly. It may also be used for medium setting emulsions. RoadChem™ 412® is excellent in coating of almost all aggregates.

Boiling point: >250C
Flash point: >93C
Specific gravity: 0.87@ (25C)
Viscosity: 6 8 cSt @ 140F (60C)
Storage: Store in a cool dry place, do not let the temperature exceed 120F (50C). Use open drums first.
Storage life: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly).
Packaging: Supplied in steel drums (200 kg) or in bulk.

APPLICATION:
RoadChem™ 412® is an emulsifier of the fatty diamine type.
RoadChem™ 412® is designed for use in CRS 1, CRS 2 and high binder content emulsions. It may also be used for mixing grade emulsions.

TYPICAL FORMULATION: All formulations should be tested in the laboratory before use.

RoadChem™ 412®: 0.2 - 0.25%
Calcium Chloride: 0.1%
Hydrochloric to pH: 1.8 - 2.8%
Kerosene: 0% - 2%
Water: Adjust to 100%
Asphalt: 60 - 75%
