DESCRIPTION:
Anioinic very high solids SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) latex..

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance: Milky white liquid
Solids: 70-72%
Specific gravity: 0.94 @ 78F (25C)
Styrene content: Bound styrene 24%,
Residual Monomer: 0.09% max
Glass transition ( DSC): -58C
Storage life: 12 months minimum (if stored correctly).
Packaging: Supplied in drums (200 kg) or in bulk.
APPLICATION:
RoadChem™ 616® may be post added to any emulsion but co milling by injection into the soap line prior to the mill. Must be pumped with a diaphragm, cavity or air pump to reduce shearing.
RoadChem™ 616® is a anioinic Styrene Butadiene Rubber latex. The latex contains 24% - 26% bound styrene.
RoadChem™ 616® may be used in road applications or in industrial applications requiring flexibility and good low and high temperature properties.
PERFORMANCE:
Typical effect on bitumen(100pen)
- Low temperature modulus reduced by up to 30%.
- Ductility increased up to 800%.
- Extension to break : 2000%.
- When used in concentrations as low as 2% may meet most specifications.
